Rosie Turton, Maria Chiara Argirò and Katherine Windfeld to descend upon Leeds

Rosie Turton, Maria Chiara Argirò and Katherine Windfeld are amongst the impressive line-up for JazzLeeds' latest series, "Women Jazz Leaders".

Running from October 10th until December 5th, the series will see the artists play across two venues within the city - Seven Arts and Inkwell Arts.

The series will kick off with young London trombonist of the moment Rosie Turton in October (whose fantastic debut EP was released earlier this year), followed by performances from London-based Italian born keyboardist Maria Chiara Argirò (who was recently interviewed by Jazz Revelations) and jazz bassist Alison Rayner. Canadian trumpeter Ingrid Jensen teams up with her saxophonist playing sister Christine Jensen in leading The Whirlwind Jazz Orchestra in November, whilst the Karen Sharp Quartet will be rounding off the series in December.
