Ashley Henry set to release Debut Studio Album

Rising star and jazz pianist Ashley Henry is set to release his debut studio album Beautiful Vinyl Hunter via Sony Music. The highly anticipated 15-track album, which follows his 2018 Easter EP, will be released in September 2019, drawing influences from jazz, beats, hip-hop, grime and more. The album will be his third project to date.

The 15-track record will feature an impressive collection of international and UK contemporary musicians, including Chicago-based drummer Makaya McCraven, GRAMMY winning trumpeter and producer Keyon Harrold, British saxophonist Binker Golding (Binker Golding & Elliot Galvin duo, Binker & Moses) and poet Joshua Idehen amongst others.

Discussing his music, Henry claimed that his music is...

"a straight up reflection of who I am; London in all its mixed up glory. The immigrant in me has musical roots that are traced back to the 1600s, so it’s important my music today reflects that jazz alpha narrative across different genres and generations”.

The announcement was paired with the release of his first single from the album"The Mighty", which can be listened to here:
